The Town of Nederland is a "statutory" town, which means it is governed by the State Statutes of Colorado. The town government consists of a seven-member Board of Trustees (BOT) (including the mayor). Because the town has an administrator overseeing the staff and daily operations, the mayor serves as the ceremonial head and runs the Board of Trustees meetings.
