The Nederland Community Center (CC) is located at 750 Hwy 72 going north from Nederland, (303) 258-9721. The Community Center Coordinator is Dawn Baumhover (dawnb@town.nederland.co.us).

Renovations to the Community Center were recently completed in 2007. The building is partially solar-powered and is undergoing LEED certification. It houses a large auditorium, a multipurpose room (where the Board of Trustees and other groups meet), the Fitness Place, a large gymnasium, and a dance studio available for classes. There is also commercial office space for lease (currently full, but call for availability).

The Nederland Community Center is a great place for birthday parties, basketball and volleyball leagues, and meetings. There is space available if you would like to teach a class in the dance studio or gymnasium. Call to discuss availability (303-258-9721).

  • Daily or Consecutive Day rates may be available
  • Cleaning fee may be added to basic rental fee depending on nature of event and staff determination
  • Community rental rates are for private and non-profit activities, and certain commercial activities that provide a benefit to the Nederland community. The public is welcome to rent any facility for private functions i.e. birthday parties, graduations, retirement etc.
  • A set up and breakdown fee may be charged for any facility ($20.00/hr rate).
  • A Cleaning Fee may be charged for any facility not cleaned after use ($20.00/hr rate). Facilities must be returned in their original condition (chairs stacked, tables stored etc)
  • Hourly rental rates shall include a reasonable set-up and breakdown time prior to and after the assigned hour(s).
  • Any combination of facility rental will be on a cost average base
  • Use of concession stand shall include use of unused cupboard space, but shall not include the ice-maker, refrigerator, popcorn machine, or soft drink fountain unless prior approval is obtained from the Back Door Theater.
  • The Town may consider exceptions to these rates on a case-by-case basis.

The Community Center also hosts office space for non-profits and commercial tenants. Currently, all office space is full.
